When will my release go live?

When we’ve approved and delivered your release, each store will start processing it on their end. If you’ve chosen a specific release date, your release will go live on that date in all stores. If you’ve chosen latest release date as same day or 2-5 days from uploaded date, your release goes live as soon as stores accept it. This means it will go live at different times in different stores, depending on each store’s processing time.
Here are the approximate processing times per store, based on recent deliveries:
Spotify: 2-4 days (sometimes faster)
- Apple Music: 1-2 days (subject to manual review by Apple, in rare cases adding 1-2 weeks)
- YouTube Music: 1-2 days
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): 2-3 days (occasionally up to 2 weeks)
- TikTok: 2-3 days (occasionally up to 2 weeks)
- Amazon: 1-2 days
- Deezer: 1-2 days
- TIDAL: 1-2 days
- Anghami: 1-5 days (subject to manual review by Anghami, adding 2-3 days)
- Boomplay: 1-2 days
Note that the stores' processing can only start once the release has passed Allot Lines’ content review and has been delivered. You can affect the speed of the content review by submitting good quality metadata, audio- and artwork files!
What are the benefits of setting a release date?
Planning to promote your release before it goes live? If yes, we always recommend choosing a specific release date.
Remember that most promotional activities that lead up to a release require a specified release date. Some activities also require a minimum lead time between delivery to stores and the release date, for example playlist pitching, pre-saves and promotion in media. So if you want to promote your release in advance of it going live, be sure to pick “Select a release date” when you submit your release!
Timelines
Please send us your releases well before the date you need them to be live on services.
- Perfect Timeline: please allow 6 weeks ahead of the expected live date for export of new releases and 4 weeks for updates to existing releases
- Standard Timeline: please allow 4 weeks for new release exports or updates to existing releases
- Time Rushes: please allow 2 weeks for export of new releases or updates
- ASAP (As soon as possible): please allow 2-3 days for export new release
- Takedowns from music services: please allow 2 weeks.
Working to these timelines will mean you can be confident of meeting your required live dates, and that we match music services’ requested lead times.
