Objective: Move your previously released music from another distributor to Allot Lines without losing your existing streaming and sales statistics.

1. Prerequisites

Before you initiate the transfer, please make sure you have the following elements ready:


  • Assets – WAV audio files and cover-art images for every track/album you want to transfer.

  • ISRCs – The unique ISRC codes already assigned to your singles or albums. If you are uncertain about these, our team can assist you in locating them.


2. Steps to Transfer

Follow these sequential actions to execute the switch:


  1. Log into your Allot Lines dashboard and click “Create New Release.”

  2. Enter the Original Release Date exactly as it appears in the store (for example, check your release on iTunes to confirm).

  3. On the track upload step, choose the option “Add your own ISRCs.” Then input the same ISRCs that were used in the previous distribution — make sure to do this for all tracks being transferred.

  4. Submit the release. Allot Lines will handle distribution to stores and streaming platforms.


3. Important Process Note

  • Do not remove your existing releases from your former distributor until Allot Lines’ distribution has been delivered and successfully recognised by the platforms.

  • After the new release is live via Allot Lines, you should look for a confirmation indicator on platforms like Spotify (e.g., an icon that shows “1 more release” on your album page). This indicates the platform has recognised the new release as the same version as the previous one, thereby preserving streaming counts.

  • Once that indicator appears, you may contact your former distributor to request the removal/takedown of the old release.

      • For DistroKid – you can remove from all stores via their platform.

  • Important: Do not close your previous distributor account immediately. There may be residual royalties accruing for the next 6–12 months after transfer.
