ISRC Code

An ISRC is an “international standard recording code” and identifies a particular recording of a track. All releases are required to have and assigned ISRC. At Allot Lines, we provide these codes for you when creating your release and you can use your own if you have your own designation.

ISRC's are essential and if you are bringing over catalog to us, you'll want to use the same codes to ensure playlist placements and streams remain in tact.

UPC Code

A UPC is a 12-digit “universal product code” and is similar to a barcode or serial number. It provides your release a unique identity. All releases are required to have a unique UPC and we take care of assigning them to releases.

How do I get a UPC or ISRC Code?

Allot Lines clients can get a UPC or ISRC code automatically from our system during the release creation process, this is included as part of our service.

Using Existing UPC and ISRCs?

If you have your own UPC or ISRC codes you can use these instead of codes provided by Allot Lines.

In the event that you are wanting to switch to Allot Lines and transfer your catalog, you can simply enter your UPCs and ISRCs in our system when creating a release. Re-using your ISRCs will ensure your play counts will remain the same. All streaming data on a Spotify (and other DSPs) is retained due to the ISRC of the track.
