Can I change the name of an existing artist on platforms?

Unfortunately, right now, stores don't allow changing your artist name on their platform. Instead, please refer to our guide right below this article.

So, if you plan to change the artist's name, the best thing you can do right now is.

1. First, you need to create copies for releases with the new artist's name and send them to Allot Lines for review. At this step, don't forget to send an email to Allot Lines so we can support you in the best way.
2. Once the release is available in stores, at this point, send us a takedown order so that we can remove the release with the old artist's name from the stores.
3. After Takedown, you should complete the process of verifying your artist account through the For Artists tools that stores provide for editing and updating artist information.
4. Don't forget to inform your fans that you have a new artist profile and share it with them as soon as possible.

1. Please retain the ISRC code of the tracks. Please leave the UPC and catalogue number blank. We will create these two new UPC codes and catalogue numbers.
