Lyrics are a really fun way of offering more to listeners and fans when they’re streaming your music. Lyrics will scroll on screen as music is playing in real time in a karaoke style so that fans can really engage in providing an opportunity for them to really become connected with the song.
Another great aspect of this function is that listeners will also be able to share lyrics directly from the app by clicking on the sharing icon, highlighting up to five lines of the track, and choosing the social media channel where they’d like to share it. Having a route for fans to champion you on their socials is a great function!
To upload your own lyrics, first get verified on Musixmatch by linking your artist account and creating a Musixmatch profile. Then log into your account to add lyrics for each of your songs (you can even download the Musixmatch app to sync the lyrics with the music by going to Edit lyrics > Sync). Your lyrics should start showing up within a week, and we’re working to update lyrics even faster.
